WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Monroe County, Florida, at a public
hearing on January 26, 1973, duly called and held in accordance with the
zoning regulations of Monroe County, Florida, and the laws of the State of
Florida, considered the request of Alfred E. Castillo for a change of zoning
on Lots 4 and 5, Block 2, First Addition to Knowlsen Colony Subdivision
(Key Largo), as recorded in Plat Book 3, Page 110 of the Public Records of
Monroe County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, after taking testimony and hearing all persons desiring
to be heard, said Board denied the request for the change of zoning, and
WHEREAS, Alfred E. Castillo filed an appeal with the. Board of
County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, asking the Board to re-
verse the decision of the Zoning Board, in accordance with the laws applicable
thereto, and
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of April, 1973, the Board of County
Commissioners held such appeal and Alfred E. Castillo appeared on his behalf
and after reviewing the record and proceedings and said action taken.in said
public hearing held on January 26, 1973, and hearing the argument of the said
Alfred E. Castillo, voted to reverse the Zoning Board in denying said request
for change of zoning from RU-1 to RU -2, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to pass a Resolution confirming the above
action of said Board of County Commissioners, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA., that the decision of the Zoning Board made
at the public hearing on January 26, 1973, denying the request of Alfred E.
Castillo for a change in zoning from RU- I to RU-2 on Lots 4 and 5, Block 2,
First Addition to Knowlsen Colony Subdivision (Key Largo), as recorded in
Plat Book 3, Page 110 of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida, is

hereby reversed and the said Alfred E. Castillo is hereby granted a change
of zoning from RU-1 to RU-2.
