Resolution 114-1973 RESOLUTION NO. 114-l9'13 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, had previously authorized the construction of a road and boat ramp on the West side of the approach to the bridge at Bahia Honda on U. S. High- way No.1, and WHEREAS, in the construction of the new bridges by the Department of Transportation, State of Florida, a burrow pit was dug near said road and boat ramp and a burrow pit was dug on the East end of the approach to said Bahia Honda bridge, and WHEREAS, said Board has been informed that the Department of Transportation intends to have the contractor on said job remove the fill placed on either side of said burrow pits and said Board desires to keep the recreational areas including said road, boat ramp, channel and burrow pits as recreational areas, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Trustees of the Internal Improve- ment Fund, State of Florida, be and it is hereby requested to instruct the Department of Transportation and the contractor who dug said burrow pits to leave the marl on either side of said channel created by said burrow pit on the West side intact in order to protect the boat ramp and to leave the burrow pit on the East side intact so that said recrealional areas may be utilized and that said areas remain a recreational area. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that copies of this resolution be forwarded to the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund and the Department of Transportation, State of Florida, for appropriate action.
