Resolution 134-1973 RESOLUTION NO. 134 -1973 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ALTERING A PRECINCT AND CREATING A NEW PRECINCT IN ELECTION DISTRICT NO.4 MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH CHAPTER 73-155 LAWS OF FLORIDA 1973 WHEREAS, it is necessary to alter Precinct No. 19 and to create a new precinct to be known as Precinct No. 19-A in Election District No.4 in Monroe County, Florida, to comply with Chapter 73-155 Laws of Florida 1973, ) npw, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Precinct No. 19 in Election District No. 4 shall comprise all of the territories in Monroe County, Florida, within the following boundarie s : That portion of Key Vaca lying East of the following described boundary line: Commencing on the center line of 74th Street projected to the waters of the Atlantic Ocean; thence along the said projected center line to where it intersects the center line of U. S. High- way No.1; thence at an angle along the center line of U. S. Highway No. 1 in a Westerly direction to where it intersects the center line of Aviation Boulevard; thence at an angle along the center line of Aviation Boulevard to where it intersects the center line of Harbor Drive; thence at right angles along the center line of Harbor Drive projected to the waters of the Bay; and all of the Florida Keys lying North and East of Vaca Cut Bridge, up to Crawl Key No.5, and that portion of Crawl Key No.5 lying South and West of Banana Boulevard on said Key, except the City of Key Colony Beach, Florida. The polling place in Precinct No. 19 shall be the "Wreck Room" at the Salty Dog Motor Lodge, at Marathon Shores, Monroe County, Florida. BE IT FUR THER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that there is hereby created in Election District No. 4 Precinct No. 19-A and said precinct shall comprise the City of Key Colony Beach, Florida. The polling place in Pre- cinct No. 19-A shall be the City Hall, Key Colony Beach, Florida. -2- BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that this Resolution be recorded in the Registry of Deeds in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit of Florida, in and for Monroe County, and the same be published in the Key West Citizen, a newspaper published in Monroe County, Florida, once each week for four (4) consecutive weeks.
