RESOLUTION NO. 154 ..1973
WHEREAS~ the State of Florida and the Monroe County Council
of Aging, Inc. ~ has obtained approval for a nutrition program for the
elderly people in Monroe County~ Florida, and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida is contributing the sum of $3,680.00
towards said program and the U. S. government is contributing $78~ 122
towards said program, and
WHEREAS~ Monroe County~ Florida has been asked to contribute in
matching funds the sum of $5~ 000. 00 as Monroe County, Florida I s share
towards said program, now, therefore~
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That said Board hereby agrees to give to the Monroe County
Council of Aging~ Inc. ~ the agency designated by the State and U. S. govern-
ment to operate the nutrition program for the elderly in Monroe County,
Florida~ the sum of $5, 000. 00.
2. That said Board names Jack Burke, Monroe County Development
Director~ to act for said Board in all matters concerning the said nutrition
program.
BE IT FUR THER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that in the event said
State and Federal funds are not granted, then in that event this resolution
shall be null and void and of no force and effect.
