RESOLUTION NO. 73-1972
WHEREAS,
Rueben OlD. Askew .
, Governor of the State
,
of' Florida , has requested the President of the United States
declare Monroe County a major disaster; and
,
WHEREAS, the President of the United States has declared
Monroe
County
a major disaster pursuant to the authority
vested in the President by Public Law 91-606 and Executive Order 11575 of
December 31, 1970, and Parts 1710" 1711, 1715 of Title 32 .of the Code of
F.edera1 Regulations; and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County
seeks assistance from both the
State and Federal Government with respect to said disaster;
NOW, THEREFORE, We, the duly authorized authority for the Monroe
C ountv. Florida
hereby request any and all assistance available
through State and Federal Government and do hereby pledge our unqualified
assistance in implementing disaster assistance available through the State
and Federal Government.
