RESOLUTION NO. 102 -l972
WHEREAS, the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the
State of Florida on August l2, 1943, issued Deed No. 452 reserving certain
lands for road purposes and which said Deed is recorded in Deed Book J -2,
Page 197 of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation of the State of Florida
has indicated that it only needs 150 feet of right-of-way in the area conveyed
by said Deed and therefore the excess reservation by said Trustees is not
needed for road purpose s, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Department of Transportation
of the State of Florida and the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund
of the State of Florida be and they are hereby reque sted to release from the
reservation contained in the hereinabove described Deed so much of said
right-of-way reservation as is deemed by the Department of Transportation
to be unnecessary for the future four-laning of U. S. Highway Number 1 or
any further right-of-way needs of the State of Florida.
