RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT FOR RECORD
WHEREAS, Rimersburg Coal Company, a Florida corporation, has
requested that the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, approve record a plat known as "CUDJOE OCEAN SHORES,
SECTION TWO, a Subdivision of a part of the East 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of
Section 28, a part of Government Lot 2, Section 27 and part of Government
Lots 1 and 2, Section 28; all lying in Township 66 South - Range 28 East _
on Cudjoe Key, Monroe County, Florida", and
WHEREAS, in lieu of the bond required by the provisions of Chapter
59-1577 and Chapter 59...1578, Laws of Florida, Acts of the Legislature
Year 1959, the platters of said subdivision will enter into an Agreement
with the County of Monroe, State of Florida, to convey to the County that
Lots 1 thru 11, inclusive, Block 16; Lots 1 thru 10, inclusive, and Lots 14 thru
24, inclusive, Block 15; Lots 9 thru 12, inclusive, Block 14 of Cudjoe
Ocean Shores, Section Two, a Subdivision of a part of the East 1/2 of the
SE 1/4 of Section 28k a part of Government Lot 2 - Section 27 and Part of
Government Lots 1 and 2, Section 28; all lying in Township 66 Sou th - Range
28 East - on Cudjoe Key, Monroe County, Florida, as recorded in Plat
Book 6
, Page 65
, in the Monroe County Public Records, as
security for the constliuction and paving of streets in said subdivision, and
WHEREAS, the County Tax Assessor and County Zoning Director have
recommended that said Board approve said plat for record, provided
said Board waives the provisions contained in the above referred to laws,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the provisions of Chapter 59-1577
and Chapter 59-1578, Laws of Florida, Acts of the Legislature Year 1959,
and the plat filing regulations of Monroe County, Florida, be, and the
same are hereby waived, in that the property is being accepted and pledged
in lieu of a bond, so far as the plat known as "CUDJOE OCEAN SHORES,
SECTION TWO, a Subdivision of part of the East 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of Section
28, a part of Government Lot 2 - Section 27 and part of Government Lots
1 and 2, Section 28; all lying in Township 66 South - Range 28 East - on
Cudjoe Key, Monroe County, Florida", is concerned, and that said plat be
and the same is hereby approved for record, and the Chairman and the
Clerk of said Board are hereby authorized to sign the certificate of approval
on said plat, upon delivery of executed Deed conveying the above referred
to property to said County.

Dear Mr. Cormack:
The Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority has no objection
to the recording of the proposed plat "Cudjoe Ocean Shores Section
Two" as per your letter of February 17, 1971. However, it: is noted
that the southern portion of the new proposed road "Cutthroa.t Drive II
already has a name on PB4-165 Cutthroat Harbour Estates a.s
"Yardarm Road" 25 feet to west of the proposed road.

Dear Mr. Cormack:
We have reviewed the above captioned plat and report that as far as
the surveyor's work is concerned the plat has been prepared in
compliance with the Monroe County plat filing regulations.
We have estimated the cost of paving the roads to County Standards
at $160,000 and a bond or property should be posted to cover this
amount.

It is requested that a (2) two foot telephone easement be consid-
ered as delineated on the attached plat. 'This easement would conform
with our company's policy to provide out-of-sight (buried) telephone
facilities for new subdivisions.
