RESOLUTION NO. 44-+971
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, has requested the legislature of the State of Florida to pass an act
authorizing it to establish and maintain a fire control unit in Monroe County,
Florida, and
WHEREAS, the Division of Forestry, Florida Department of
Agriculture and Consumer Services, has indicated to said Board of County
Commissioners that the amount needed by said Division of Forestry to establish
and maintain said fire control unit in Monroe County, Florida, will be
approximately $112, 000, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the legislature of the State of
Florida to include in its appropriation bill said am 0 un t_ in the budget of the
Division of Forestry, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the legislature of the State of Florida
be and it is hereby requested to include in its appropriation bill the sum of
$112, 000 in the budget of the Division of Forestry, Florida Department of
Agriculture and Consumer Services, for the establishment and maintenance of
a fire control unit in Monroe County, Florida.
BE IT FUR THER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that certified copies
of this resolution be forwarded to the Monroe County, Florida, delegation in
the state legislature with a request that appropriate action be taken to include
the above amount in said appropriation bill now under consideration by said
legislature.
