Resolution 056-1971 RESOLUTION NO. 56- 1971 WHEREAS, the Governing Board of Monroe General Hospital has authorized the borrowing of $250, 000. 00 from The First National Bank of the Upper Keys as an emergency measure, and has issued its Tax Anticipation Warrant to said bank, payable out of taxes levied for the year 1971, for the use and benefit of said hospital, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, will levy taxes on the Monroe County Tax Roll for the year 1971, for the use and benefit of said hospital to cover said Tax Anticipation Warrant, and said Board has been requested to approve, ratify and confirm the above action and to direct the Tax Collector to pay to the First National Bank of the Upper Keys out of taxes levied for the year 1911, for the use and benefit of said hospital in an amount sufficient to pay said Tax Anticipation Warrant, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the action of the Governing Board of Monroe General Hospital in issuing its Tax Anticipation Warrant, dated June 30, 1971 payable to The First National Bank of the Upper Keys, a banking corporation organized and existing under the Laws of the United States of America, in the amount of $250, 000. 00, and with interest thereon at the rate of 50/n per annum from date until fully paid, be, and the same is hereby approved, ratified and confirmed, and the Monroe County Tax Collector be, and he is hereby authorized to pay to the said First National Bank of the Upper Keys, from the proceeds of taxes assessed and to be levied by Monroe County, Florida, on all taxable property in the County of Monroe, State of Florida, for the year 1971, for the use and benefit of Monroe General Hospital, when said taxes have been collected and received by said Tax Collector, an amount sufficient to repay the principal sum of $250,000.00, and any interest that may be due thereon.
