RESOLUTION NO.

WHEREAS, the owners of certain portions of CENTER ISLAND, DUCK
KEY, Section 2, Parts 1 and 2, Sheet 4 and 5 of 8, as shown on Plat of DUCK KEY,
a re...subdivision of the Plat of DUCK KEY as recorded in Plat Book 4 Page 7, of
the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida, which said re...subdivision is re-
corded in Plat Book 5 Page 82 of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida,
has indicated to the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida,
that they desire to re...plat said portion of CENTER ISLAND owned by them, de..
signating and dedicating new streets and roads on said plat, and
WHEREAS, title to the presently dedicated roads on said CENTER
ISLAND are vested in the Department of Transportation, State of Florida, and
WHEREAS, the owners have requested the Board of County Commiss..
ioners to obtain title to the presently dedicated roads from the State of Florida
Road Departp:lent so that said Board can transfer title to said roads back to the
owners after said replat is filed, dedicating the new roads in said replat, and
WHEREAS, said owners have agreed to construct the new roads and
to take care of putting in all the utilities on the new roads which are now existing
on the presently dedicated r-oads and have agreed to put up a bond of Four Hundred
Thousand ($400,000.00) Dollars guaranteeing said work; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Department of Transporation of the State
of Florida be, and it is hereby requested to transfer title to presently dedicated-
roads on CENTER ISLAND, DUCK KEY, Section 2 Parts 1 and 2, Sheet 4 and 5
of 8 as shown on Plat of DUCK KEY, a re...subdivision of the Plat of DUCK KEY,
as recorded in Plat Book 5 Page 820f the Public Records of Monroe County,
Florida, to Monroe County, Florida, for the purposes hereinabove set forth.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this Resolution
be forwarded to the Department of Transportation, State of Florida with the
request that the presently dedicated roads on said CENTER ISLAND be trans-
ferred to Monroe County, Florida.
