A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
TRANSMITTING THIS BOARD'S PROPOSED
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO THE FLORIDA DEPART-
MENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR THEIR REVIEW
PURSUANT TO FLORIDA STATUTES, CHAPTER 163.
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Growth Management Division
has proposed certain goals, policies and objectives to meet the
requirements for a Comprehensive Plan under Florida Statutes
Chapter 163 and Florida Administrative Code Chapter 9J-5; and
WHEREAS, Growth Management staff was assisted in their efforts
by a group of professional planning consultants; and
WHEREAS, the Development Review Committed has reviewed those
combined recommendations and added recommendations of their own;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, sitting as the local
planning agency, has held public hearings at which they reviewed
the recommendations of the general public, the DevelOPment Review
Committee, and County staff; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has held a series
of public hearings, reviewed public comments, reviewed the
Planning Commission's recommendations, the Development Review
Committee recommendations, and the comments of County staff; NOW
THEREFORE

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
Section 1. The Monroe County Growth Management Division is
hereby directed to transmit the proposed Monroe County Comprehen-
sive Plan to the Florida Department of Community Affairs for
their review and comment.
Section 2. Monroe County staff is given authority to
correct any typographical errors prior to transmittal as long as
no substantive changes are made.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 21st day of May, A.D., 1992.
