RESOLUTION NO.1 - 1975
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County
has recognized the need for boating improvements in the community,
and,
WHEREAS, The Florida Improvement Program of 1974 administered
by the State of Florida Department of Natural Resources offers the
opportunity to strengthen the community development process through
a program for community services,
Now, Therefore, the Board of County Commissioners of ~lonroe
County officially requests the State of Florida Department of Natural
Resources to include ~lonroe County for financial assistance under
legislative mandate (Chapter 371.65 (4) ) to be appropriated to the
said State agency for distribution.
WHEREAS, the Appl icant has examined and duly considered sai d
program and the Applicant considers it to be in the public interest
and to its benefit to file an application under said Act and to
authorize other action in connection therewith:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIlE BOARD OF COUNTY Cml-
J'HSSIONERS OF j'WNROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, in open meeting assembled In
the Sub-Courthouse, f1arathon, Florida, this 7th day of January, 1975
as follows:
I. That the project generally discribed above is In the
best interests of the Applicant and the general public.
2. That Jack K. Burke, County Development Director, he
hereby authorized to file and sign in behalf of the Applicant and
to apply for any funds that may be available for said program to
be made to the Applicant to assist in defraying the cost of the
program generally described above.
3. That said Jack K. Burke, County Development Director,
IS hereby authorized to furnish such information and take such
other action as may be necessary to enable the Applicant to qualify
for said program.

4. That the Official designated in the preceding paragraph
IS hereby designated as the authorized representative of the
Applicant for the purpose of furnishing to the State of Florida
Department of Natural Resources such information, data and docu-
ments pertaining to the application for said program as may be
required and in connection with this application.
5. That this resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
