Resolution 018-1974 RESOLUTION NO. 18-1974 WHEREAS, Historic Key West Preservation Board, created by Chapter 72- 259 General Acts, Laws of Florida, 1972, an agency of the State of Florida, of the County of Monroe, State of Florida, has requested certain property on the Island of Key West known as the Old City Hall Site to be preserved as an historic site and will be used for the purposes creating said Preservation Board as set forth in said Chapter 72-259 General Acts, Laws of Florida, 1972, and WHEREAS, said Preservation Board has requested said Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, to convey said property for the sum of ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) and has agreed to restore said Old City Hall in the City of Key West, Florida, and WHEREAS, said property is not needed for County purposes, now, there- fore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that it hereby authorizes the conveyance of the property known as the Old City Hall Site, City of Key West, Florida, described as follows: On the Island of Key West and known as Lot 2, Square 14, accord- ing to William A. Whitehead's map delineated in February, A.D. 1829 having a frontage of 113' on Greene Street and 201' on Ann Street. for the sum of ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) to the Historic Key West Preservation Board, created by Chapter 72-259 General Acts, Laws of Florida, 1972, an agency of the State of Florida, of the County of Monroe, State of Florida, and for the further consideration of said Board agreeing to restore and preserve the building located on the above described premises and agreeing to allow the present tenants occupying the above described premises to continue to use same until such time as the restora- tion of said premises begins. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Mayor and Chairman and Clerk of said Board be and the same are hereby authorized to execute said convey- ance. DATED February 12, 1974.
