WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Monroe County, Florida, at a public hear-
ing on October 26, 1973, duly called and held in accordance with the zoning
regulations of Monroe County, Florida, and the laws of the State of Florida,
considered the request of Orense Enterprises for a change of zoning on all of
that part of the North 1/2 of the South 1/2 of the S.W. 1/4 of Section 29, Town-
ship 60 South, Range 40 East lying to the West of the Northwesterly right of
way line of State Road 905, Key Largo, Monroe County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, after taking testimony and hearing all persons desiring
to be heard, said Board denied the request for the change of zoning, and
WHEREAS, Orense Enterprises filed an appeal with the Board of County
Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, asking the Board to reverse the decision
of the Zoning Board, in accordance with the laws applicable thereto, and
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of January, 1974, the Board of County Commis-
sioners held such appeal and Mr. Fred Tittle, attorney, appeared on behalf of
Orense Enterprises, and after reviewing the record and proceedings and said action
taken in said public hearing held on October 26, 1973, and hearing the arguments
of counsel for the above party and the arguments of Mr. WIater Maning of Key
Largo and Mr. Ron Bell of Plantation Key speaking in opposition to any change in
zoning, voted to reverse the Zoning Board in denying said request for change of
zoning from GU to RU-3, and
WHEREAS, it is necessarh to pass a resolution confirming the above
action of said Board of County Commissioners, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, that the decision of the Zoning Board made at the public hearing on
October 26, 1973, denying the request of Orense Enterprises for a change of zoning
from GU to RU-3 on all of that part of the North 1/2 of the South 1/2 of the S.W.
1/4 of Section 29, Township 60 South, Range 40 East lying to the West of the
Northwesterly right of way line of State Road 905, Key Largo, Monroe County,
Florida is hereby reversed and the said Orense Enterprises is hereby granted a
change of zoning from GU to RU-3.
