RESOLUTION NO. 43-1974
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of County
Commissioners of Monroe County that the Florida Legislature may make some
effort to change the disbursement of the Seventh Cent Gas Tax, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County feels
that the present method of disbursement of the Seventh Cent GaS Tax is fair
and equitable where by it is the decision of each County whether or not to use
the Seventh Cent Gas Tax, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA that the Legislative Delegation representing Monroe County oppose any
effort made by the Florida Legislature to change the method of disbursement
of the Seventh Cent Gas Tax.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that copies of this Resolution
be mailed to each member of the Monroe County Legislative Delegation and to
each of the 67 counties in Florida.
