WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida,
deems it to be in the best interest of the public welfare of the citizens of
Monroe County, Florida, to limit the density of buildings in RU-3 zones until
such time as the Zoning Ordinance can be amended, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, that the Zoning Department be and it is hereby directed not to grant
any building permits in areas zoned RU-3 for buildings exceeding a density of
12 units per acre for three stories or less and 14 units per acre for all
buildings above three stories.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that this resolution shall remain
in full force and effect until rescinded by said Board.
