RESOLUTION NO. 105 -1974
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Monroe County, Florida, at a
public hearing on April 26, 1974, duly called and held in accordance
with the zoning regulations of Monroe County, Florida, and the laws
of the State of Florida, considered the request of Willard Sands
for a change of zoning on Lots 1 and 2, Block 7, of Key Largo
Beach, recorded in Plat Book 2, Page 49, in Section 33, Township 61
South, Range 39 East (Key Largo), from RU-l to Limited BU-3, and
WHEREAS, after hearing all persons desiring to be heard,
said Board approved the request for the change of zoning from RU-l
to Limited BU-3, and
WHEREAS, the Upper Keys Citizens Association filed an appeal
with the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida,
asking the Board to reverse the decision of the Zoning Board, in
accordance with the laws applicable thereto, and
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of August, 1974, the Board of
County Commissioners held such appeal, and after reviewing the record
and proceedings and said actions taken at said public hearing on
April 26, 1974, and taking testimony and hearing all persons desiring
to be heard, voted to reverse the Zoning Bpard in approving said
request for change of zoning from RU-l to Limited BU-3, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to pass a resolution confirming
the above action of said Board of County Commissioners, now, there-
fore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the decision of the Zoning Board made
at the public hearing on April 26, 1974, approving the request of
Willard Sands for a change of zoning from RU-l to Limited BU-3 on
Lots 1 and 2, Block 7 of Key Largo Beach, recorded in Plat Book 2,
Page 49, in Section 33, Township 61 South, Range 39 East, (Key Largo),
is hereby reversed and that zoning on said property is reverted to
its former classification RU-l as defined in the Monroe County Zoning
Regulations.
