Resolution 134-1974 RESOLUTION NO.134 -1974 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, desires to renounce and disclaim any right of the County and the public in and to the hereinafter described street, alley-way, road or highway, and WHEREAS, under Chapter 336, Florida Statutes, it is necessary to hold a public hearing after publishing due notice of said hearing in accordance with said Chapter, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 12, 1974, said Board will hold a public hearing to determine whether or not said Board will renounce and disclaim any right of the County and the public in and to the following described street, alley-way, road or highway: A portion of an un-named street at the west end of Southern Pines, as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 112 of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Commencing at the Northwest Corner of Government Lot 3, Section 25, T. 66 S., R. 29 E., said Corner to be known as the POINT OF BEGINNING of the strip of land hereinafter described, bear North along the West Line of Southern Pines, 165 feet, more or less, to the Southerly right-of- way line of U. S. Highway No.1; thence bear East- erly along the Southerly right-of-way line of U.S. Highway No.1, 18.95 feet to a point that is 18.95 feet, measured at right angles to the preceding course; thence bear South, 165 feet, more or less, to the South Line of Government Lot 2, Section 25, T. 66 S., R. 29 E., and also the South Line of Southern Pines; thence bear West, along the South line of Southern Pines, 18.95 feet, back to the POINT OF BEGINNING. ALSO A portion of Knowles Boulevard in a part of Southern Pines, as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 112 of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Commencing at the Northwest Corner of Government LOT #, Section 25, T. 66 S., R. 29 E., bear East, 18.95 feet; thence bear North 122.5 feet, to the POINT OF BEGINNING of the parcel of land here- inafter described; from said POINT OF BEGINNING, continue bearing North, 45 feet, more or less, to the Southerly right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No.1; thence bear Easterly, along the Southerly right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No.1, 150 feet, more or less, to the North Line of Block 11 of Southern Pines; thence bear West, along the North Line of Block 11, 142 feet, more or less, back to the POINT OF BEGINNING. -2- ALSO A portion of Wilson Street of Southern Pines, as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 112 of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Commencing at the Southeast Corner of Block 11 of Southern Pines, said Corner to be known as the POINT OF BEGINNING of the parcel of land hereinafter described, bear North, 60 feet, more or less, to the Southerly right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No.1; thence bear Easterly along the Southerly right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No.1, 58 feet, more or less, to the East right-of- way line of Wilson Street; thence bear South, 35 feet, more or less, to the Southwest Corner of Block 10 of Southern Pines; thence bear West, 50 feet, back to the POINT OF BEGINNING. ALSO A part of an Alley of Southern Pines, as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 112 of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Commenc- ing at the Northwest Corner of Government Lot 3, Section 25, T. 66 S., R. 29 E., bear East, 18.95 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of the Alley herein- after described; thence bear North, 15 feet; thence bear East, 355 feet, more or less, to the Southerly right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No.1; thence bear Easterly along said Southerly right-of-way line, 20 feet, more or less, to a point that is 15 feet, measured at right angles to the preceding course; thence bear West, 370 feet, more or less, back to the POINT OF BEGINNING. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said Board be, and he is hereby ordered to publish notice of said meeting in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 336, Florida Statutes.
