Resolution 160-1974 RESOLUTION NO. 160_1974 A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE REVITALIZATION OF THE DOWNTOWN AREA OF KEY WEST, FLORIDA, BY ALLOCATING SECONDARY ROAD FUNDS TOWARDS THIS PROJECT. WHEREAS, the City of Key West, Florida, is submitting an application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for a block grant in connection with the revitalization of the downtown area of Key West, Florida, and WHEREAS, the downtown area of Key West at one time was the base for the greatest producing tax district in Monroe County, and WHEREAS, the County Commission has always pledged partici- pation in the historical restoration of the downtown area, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: 1. That the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, supports this project by allocating a sum of money out of its secondary road funds not to exceed $100,000.00 for this project. 2. The County Clerk is hereby directed to send a certified copy of this resolution to the City of Key West, Florida. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its passage and adoption and authentication by the signature of the presiding officer and the Clerk of the Commission. DATED December 23, 1974.
