RESOLUTION NO. 19 -1976
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe
County, Florida, have been requested by the Is1amorada Chamber of
Commerce to request that certain lands owned by the Department of
Transportation State of Florida, on the Island of Is1amorada, Monroe
County, Florida, as shown on the attached sketch to establish a
historic museum, welcome station and off-street parking site as a
part of the 1976 Bicentennial celebration said site being the location
of the old Flagler Railroad Section House be given to Monroe County,
Florida, to lease to a non-profit corporation to operate said

museum and welcome station, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Department of Transportation State
of Florida give said lands as shown on the attached sketch to Monroe
County, Florida, to lease to a non-profit corporation being formed
by the Is1amorada Chamber of Commerce for the purpose of establishing
a historic museum, welcome station and off-street parking site, as
part of the 1976 Bicentennial celebration said site being the location
of the old Flagler Railroad Section House if said lands are surplus to
the Department's needs.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that certified copies
of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transporation
State of Florida for appropriate action.
