A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
!~,Cq~~SSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
'.REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA TO ESTABLISH SIGNAGE
ON EITHER SIDE OF THE ROAD ON U. S. 1 IN THE
VICINITY OF THE BIG PINE KEY SHOPPING CENTER
INDICATING "SHOPPING CENTER".
WHEREAS, there have been substantial concerns expressed
concerning the pedestrian traffic in the vicinity of the shopping
center on Big Pine Key, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners feel some concern
with respect to vehicular traffic on U. S. 1 in the area of Big
Pine Key shopping center feels that some signage warning the
motorists of such proximity would be useful, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that said Board does here by request the
Department of Transportation of the State of Florida to establish
a sign on either side of the road on U. S. 1 in the vicinity of
the Big Pine Key shopping center indicating "Shopping Center" to
serve as a caveat to the motorists in the area.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a special meeting of said Board held
on the 22nd
day of
