Ordinance 008-1985County Commission ORDINANCE NO. 008 -19 8 5 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 031-1984, SECTION 2, TO PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL PARAGRAPH THERETO; PROVIDING THAT THE EXECUTIVE DIREC- TOR SET FORTH THEREIN MAY BE EITHER AN INDIVIDUAL OR A CORPORATION FOR THE PURPOSES OF CONTRACTING FOR THE SERVICES OF SAID EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR; PROVIDING FOR SEVER - ABILITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE TO THE EXTENT OF SAID CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE MONROE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. Ordinance No. 031-1984, Section 2, is hereby amended by the addition of a new paragraph thereof to be entitled paragraph "E", which shall read as follows: "E. For the purpose of rendering the ser- vices through the Executive Office created by Ordinance No. 031-1984, Section 2, Subsection "F", such Executive Director, as is provided for therein, shall be either an individual or a corporation, which shall furnish the services required by the Tourist Development Council for the Executive Office thereof. That any such contract entered into for the Executive Director to operate such Executive Office shall be recommended by the Tourist Development Council and approved by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida." Section 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or provision of this Ordinance is held invalid, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected by such invalidity. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. Section 4. The provisions of this Ordinance shall be included and incorporated in the Code of Ordinances of the County of Monroe, Florida, as an addition or amendment thereto, and shall be renumbered to conform to the uniform numbering system of the Code. Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon receipt of official notice from the Office of the Secretary of State of the State of Florida that this Ordinance has been filed with said Office.
