Ordinance 002-1984Contractor's Ex _ng Board ORDINANCE NO.002 -1984 AN ORDINANCE OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 6, BUILDINGS AND CONSTRUCTION, ARTICLE III, CONTRACTORS, SUBCON- TRACTORS, MASTERS, JOURNEYMEN AND MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL, BY DELETING THE SECOND SENTENCE IN THE DEFINITION OF CLASS C AIR CONDITIONING CONTRACTOR; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CODI- FICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the Code of Ordinances of Monroe County, Florida, Chapter 6, entitled Buildings and Construction, Article III, entitled Contractors, Subcontractors, Masters, Journeymen, and Maintenance Personnel, shall be amended by deleting the second sentence from the definition of Class C air conditioning contractor, as found in Sec- tion 6-56 thereof, so that the said definition shall read as follows: "Class C air conditioning contractor means any person whose business is limite to the ser- vicing of air conditioning, heating, or re- frigeration systems, including duct altera- tions in connection with those systems they are servicing." Section 2. The enactment of this Ordinance shall repeal any inconsistent portions of the existing Code of Ordinances of Monroe County, Florida, which are in conflict therewith. Section 3. Should one or more portions of this Ordinance be found to be unconstitutional or unenforceable, it shall not affect the remaining sections of this Ordinance. Section 4. This Ordinance shall be codified and incorporated into the Code of Ordinances of Monroe County, Florida. Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption and filing with the Secretary of State of Florida.
