AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF MONROE COUNTY TO PROVIDE FOR
THE PROHIBITION OF DISCARDING COMMERCIAL
DUMPING AND/OR TRASH AT PLACES OTHER THAN THE
THREE INCINERATOR SITES; PROVIDING A PENALTY
FOR VIOLATING THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS
ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE
MONROE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Chapter 8, Section 33, of the Code of Ordi-
nances of Monroe County be amended by the addition of a section
to be entitled "(e)" which shall read as follows:
"(e) That any and all commercial
dumping of trash and garbage in Monroe County
shall be confined to the three (3) dumping
sites provided therefor which are located at
the three (3) incinerator and landfill
locations at Key Largo, Long Key and Cudjoe
Key."
Section 2.
Any violation of this amendment to Chapter 8
shall be punished as is provided by Section 8-38 of the Code of
Ordinances of Monroe County.
Section 3.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
provision of this Ordinance is held invalid, the remainder of
this Ordinance shall not be affected by such invalidity.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of
said conflict.
Section 5.
The provisions of this Ordinance shall be
included and incorporated in the Code of Ordinances of the County
of Monroe, Florida, as an addition or amendment hereto, and shall
be appropriately renumbered to conform to the uniform numbering
system of the Code.
Section 6.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon receipt of official notice from the Office of the Secretary
of State of the State of Florida that this Ordinance has been
filed with said Office.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 27th day of January , 1984.

meetings, he will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for
such purpose, he may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the
proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and
evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
