Ordinance 024-1983Commissioner Alis ihrer ORDINANCE NO.024 -1983 AN AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO. 2-1982 TO PROVIDE FOR PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF SAID ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR THE REMOVAL OF VEHICLES THAT ARE IN VIOLATION OF SAID ORDINANCE AND FOR THE COST OF THE REMOVAL OF SAID VEHICLES; REPEALING ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 2-1982 be and the same is hereby amended by the addition thereto of two sections as follows: "Section 6. Any person convicted of violating any section of Ordinance No. 2-1982 by illegally parking in any space marked for the disabled as prescribed in Ordinance No. 2-1982 who is not en- titled by being disabled to park in said space shall be subjected to a fine of not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) nor more than One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00). "Section 7. Anyone illegally parking in any spaces as provided by the provisions of Ordinance No. 2-1982 shall subject the illegally parked vehicle to removal forcibly by the Sheriff of Monroe County at the cost of the motor vehicle owner." Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. Section 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or provision of this Ordinance is held invalid, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected by such invalidity. Section 4. The provisions of this Ordinance shall be included and incorporated in the Code of Ordinances of the County of Monroe, Florida, as an addition or amendment thereto, and shall be appropriately renumbered to conform to the uniform numbering system of the Code. Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon receipt of official notice from the Office of the Secretary of State of the State of Florida that this Ordinance has been filed with said Office.
