Ordinance 006-1976 ORDINANCE NO. 6 -1976 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3. QUALIFICATIONS OF MEMBERS, OF MONROE COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 1-1974, THE SAME BEING ENTITLED "ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE MONROE COUNTY COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." BY INCREASING THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS ON SAID COMMISSION AND CHANGING THE METHOD OF APPOINTING THE MEMBERS OF SAID COMMISSION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA: Section 1. Section 3. QUALIFICATIONS OF MEHBERS, of Monroe County Ordinance No. 1-1974, is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 3. QUALIFICATIONS OF MEMBERS. Members of the Com- mission shall be residents of Monroe County. Members, while serv- ing shall not become candidates for election to any public office. In order to secure representative membership upon the Commission, the five (5) County Commissioners shall appoint fifteen (15) members which shall be apportioned as follows: four (4) members from the Upper Keys, four (4) members from the Middle Keys and seven (7) members from the area below Big Pine Key. Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon receipt of the official acknowledgment from the Department of State acknowledging receipt of certified copy of this ordinance and that said ordinance has been filed in said office. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF COUNTY ORDINANCE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN that on Tuesday, February 24, 1976, at 2:00 P.M. at the Monroe County Court- house Annex, Key West, Florida, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, intends to consider the adoption of the follow- ing County Ordinance: ORDINANCE NO. -1976 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.
