Ordinance 008-1975 ORDINANCE NO. 8 -1975 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND ENABLING THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS OUT OF THE GENERAL REVENUE FUND OF THE MONROE COUNTY BUDGET FOR THE MONROE COUNTY COUNCIL ON AGING, INC., A FLORIDA NON-PROFIT CORPORATION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPEPATING A HOME- MAKER PROGRAM FOR THE AGED; LIMITING THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH SAID FUNDS MAY BE USED BY SAID CORPORA- TION; DECLARING THE OPERATION OF SAID HOMEMAKER PROGRAM TO BE A COUNTY, ~{ELFARE, AND PUBLIC PUR- POSE; REPEALING ALL SPECIAL LAWS, ORDINANCES, AND RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, may appropriate funds out of its General Revenue Fund of the Monroe County Budget to the Monroe County Council on Aging, Inc., a Florida non-profit corporation for the purpose of operatin~ a homemaker program for the aged under a Federal Grant Program. Section 2. Any funds appropriated hereunder shall be ex- pended by said Monroe County Council on Aging, Inc" a Florida non- profit corporation. Section 3. The operation of said homemaker program and the funds expended therefor are hereby decreed to be a County, wel- fare and public purpose. Section 4. All Special Laws, Ordinances, Resolutions, rules and regulations in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect upon receipt of the official acknowledgment from the Department of State acknowl- edging receipt of certified copy of this Ordinance and that said Ordinance has been filed in said office.
