Ordinance 003-1974 ORDINANCE NO. 3 -1974 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO MAKE RULES AND REGULATIONS REGULATING PARKING IN ALL COUNTY OWNED PROPERTIES; PRO- VIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY RULE AND REGULA- TION MADE UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND PRO- VIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, are hereby authorized to establish rules and regulations regarding the parking of vehicles in any properties owned by Monroe County, Florida. section 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the rules and regulations made by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, under the authority of this Ordinance shall be prosecuted by the prosecuting officer in Monroe County, Florida, having authority to prosecute misdemeanors, and, upon conviction in a court having jurisdiction of misdemeanors shall be punished by fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500,00) or by imprisonment in the County Jail not to exceed sixty (60) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
