Ordinance 004-1972 ORDINANCE NO. 4-1972 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE SOUTHERN STANDARD PLUMBING CODE 1971 ADDITION AS THE PLUMBING CODE FOR MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA; ESTABLISHrnG A SCHEDULE OF PERMIT FEES FOR PLUMBING FEES IN SAID COUNTY; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDIN- ANcE SHALL TAKE EFFECT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Southern Standard Plumbing Code 1971 Addition shall be the Plumbing Code for Monroe County, Florida. Section 2. The following schedule of permit fees shall apply to work done under said Code: Roughing-in or Plugged Outlets for: Each Fixture $ 1.00 Gas and Oil Interceptors 1.50 Floor Drains 1. 00 Grease Traps 1. 50 Each Direct Waste Pipe including fixture 1. 00 Doctors t and Dentists' Sterlizers. Hospital Sterlizers, Autocaves. Autopsy Table s. and other fixtures. appurtences or appliances having a water supply or waster outlet or both, including hotwater tanks or boosters 1.50 Domestic washing machines with sewer connection, same as fixture Air-Conditioning unit 4.00 SET: Each Fixture set on new roughing-in or un- plugged outlet or replace an old rough-in 1. 00 Gas and Oil interceptors. each 1. 50 Floor Drains, Each 1. 00 Grease Traps, Each 1.50 SEWER: Each Building sewer (when connection is made to a septic tank, to an existing sewer or to a city sewer, or the disconnection and capping or same) 10.00 Gas, oil, air tanks, etc., each 10.00 Gasoline Pumps, etc. each 2. 00 Each building storm-sewer, where connect- ion is made to aoakage pits, existing build- ing storm-sewer or other approved point of disposal 2. 00 SEPTIC TANKS, DRAINTILE AND SOAKAGE PITS: Each new septic tank, including draintile for same 4.00 Each septic tank draintile relay 3.00 Each soakage pit 4.00 WATER PIPING: Each water service connection to a municipal or private multiple water supply system (each meter) 2.00 Water connection to RO outlets for an appliance or installation not covered by fixture permit 2.00 Irrigation System, Overhead and Under ground sprinkler system, etc. 5.00 Fire-Sprinkler System 5.00 Fire-Control System, including Stand- pipe, siamese connections, and pumps (each standpipe) 3.00 Stand-by for emergency potable water supply outlet 5.00 Solar water-heater installation, new, in- cluding booster 5.00 Replacing a solar water heater or storage tank 2.00 Booster in connection with OLF solar water heating system 2.00 Swimming pool installations, not includ ing wells $ 5.00 REPAIRS: For extending, remodling, addition, or repair of water pipes, waste, soil, vent, sewer, pipes or building dr ain s : When cost to the owne r for performing above work amounts to $100.00 or less 3.00 When cost to the owner for performing above work amounts to over $100.00 5.00 (This does not include faucet, valve or water- closet tank repairs, unstopping fixtures, waste building drain or building sewer pipes or cleaning of septic tanks). WELLS: Each water supply well 3.00 Each drainage well 4.00 WATER DRAlNAGE: Rainwater roof inlet, each 1.00 Area, yard or rainwater drain, each 1.00 MISCELLANEOUS: Siphon breakers on old installations, required when repair or unapproved water closet is made, each 2.00 RE-INSPECTION: For each re-inspection made due to condemnation of work, or due to the fact that the work was not ready at the time specified in the application for inspection each 3.00 For each re-inspection or existing building to determine compliance with plumbing code 5.00 :N"hen work for which a permit is required by this Ordinance is commenced or proceeded with prior to obtaining a permit, the fee specified herein shall not hold, but shall be doubled. The payment of such increased fee shall not relieve any person firm or corporation from fully complying with the requirements of this Code, nor from other penalties prescribed in said code. Section 3. Penalty for violation of this Ordinance or Code shall be those penalties provided for in Chapter 125.69 Florida Statutes 1970 Supplement. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon receipt of official acknowledgment from the Office of the Secretary of State of the State of Florida that said Ordinance has been filed in said Office.
