Ordinance 006-1982ORDINANCE NO. 6 -1982 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF MONROE, FLORIDA, FIXING A MONTHLY ALLOWANCE FOR THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, FOR THE USE OF HIS PRIVATELY OWNED AUTOMOBILE IN THE PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES IN SUCH OFFICIAL CA- PACITY; PROVIDING SUCH ALLOWANCE SHALL BE IN LIEU OF MILEAGE ALLOWANCE AND SHALL BE ALLOWED AS AN EXPENSE IN THE OPERATION OF HIS OFFICE AS SAID SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS; REPEALING ALL OR- DINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Supervisor of Elections of Monroe County, Florida, shall receive a monthly allowance in the sum of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) for the use of his privately owned automobile in the performance of his duties in his official capacity; such allowance shall be in lieu of any mileage allowance provided by law for the use of a privately owned vehicle, and shall be allowed as an expense in the operation of his office as such Supervisor of Elec- tions. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or provision of this Ordinance is held invalid, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected by such invalidity. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon receipt of official notice from the Office of the Secretary of State of the State of Florida that this Ordinance has been filed with said Office.
