Ordinance 010-1981CORRECTED 0-_ L ORDINANCE NO. 10=1981 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF MONROE, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 6, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF MONROE COUNTY, INCREASING ALL BUILDING PERMIT FEES; INCREASING ALL ELECTRICAL PERMIT FEES; INCREASING ALL PLUMBING PERMIT FEES; PROVIDING FOR MECHANICAL PERMIT FEES; AND AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, INCREASING ALL SUB -DIVISION PLATTING FEES; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ORDINANCES OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR IN- CLUSION IN THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF MONROE, FLORIDA; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of MONROE County, FLORIDA, by Resolution No. 169-1981, authorized the County Administrator to implement the Doyle -Sorensen Plan to provide competent and timely planning, building, and zoning services to the citizens of MONROE County, FLORIDA, including an increase in permit and sub -division platting fees necessary to provide for the implementation of the said Plan, Now, Therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of MONROE County, FLORIDA: Section 1. Chapter 6, of the Code of Ordinances of MONROE County, FLORIDA, entitled BUILDINGS & CONSTRUCTION, is hereby amended so that Section 6-39 Fee Schedule shall read as follows: The BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS shall, by Ordinances, fix reasonable recording, hearing and permit fees to be charged by the Building, Planning $ Zoning Department. Chapter 17 of the Code of Ordinances of Monroe County, Florida, entitled Sub -Division Regulation, shall be amended by adding a Section thereto, which shall be known and number as Section 17-43, which shall read as follows: Section 17-43. Sub -Division Platting Fees. The Planning Zoning Department shall charge and collect fees for the items and rates listed in the following schedules: (a) Fee to accompany Preliminary Plat Application: 1-5 Sites ...................................... $ 240.00 6 or more Sites ................ $ 240.00 Plus $3.00 per Site in escess of 5 Sites ("Site" denotes either a Lot or Tract) (b) Fee for re -submission of Preliminary Plat by same owner (revision) $ 150.00 (c) Fee for re -submission of Preliminary Plat by new owner (no revision) $ 100.00 (d) Fee to accompany Waiver of Plat Application $ 240.00 (e) Fee for re -submission of Preliminary Plat to request waiver of subdivision code requirements. $ 100.00 (f) Fee to accompany submission of an Amended Plat $ 240.00 (g) Fee to be paid at the time the final Plat is submitted for review: (1) The minimum fee for any final Plat shall be $ 300.00 (2) Fee for re -submission of final Plat $ 150.00 (3) The fee for reverting any previously recorded Plat to acreage shall be $ 500.00 - 7- (4) All other fees shall be determined by the following schedule. 2 to 20 lots/tracts...................$10.00 per lot/tract 21 to 40 lots/tracts..................$1,000 plus $7.00 per lot/tract in escess of 21 lots/tracts 41 to 80 lots/tracts ..................$1,700.00 plus $5.00 per lot/tract in excess of 41 lots/tracts 81 lots/tracts or more................$2,700.00 plus $4.00 per lot/tract in excess of 81 lots/tracts Section 3. Some much of Monroe County, Florida, Ordinances Nos. 7-1973, 13-1975, and 16-1976, as are inconsistant or in conflict with this Ordinance, are hereby repealed, to take effect upon the effective date of this Ordinance, hereinafter set forth. Section 4. The provisions of this Ordinance shall be included and incorporated in the Code of Ordinances of Monroe County, Florida, as an addition or amendment thereto, and shall be appropriately numbered as set forth hereinabove. Section S. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, and upon filing with the Secretary of State of Florida.
