Revised 2/05
25 Years of Service Award for Lisa Druckemiller
Lisa began her career with Monroe County on June of 1980, as one of the County's
Phone Board Operator's. In February of 1991, the Phone Board Operations were moved
into the Technical Services Department. With no prior experience, short of her
experience as an operator, she became the County's Administrator of T ele-
Communications and hit the ground running. The rest is history...
Each year since her assignment as Administrator, she has renegotiated contracts saving
the County thousands of dollars, $80,000 annually in 2005 alone. She has improved the
overall Administration of the billing; Plus worked tirelessly to improved support, reduce
outages and their durations, in general she has made our Tele-Communications Network
on "World Class".
To give some idea of the magnitude of her responsibilities; our network has grown ten
fold over the past 10 years. Today we have over 1,500 phone sets throughout the County
with its related infrastructure that she helped design. Plus she manages over 300 Cell
phones, the related accounts, and all the associated administration.
She has been wa.s named employee of the month twice, February 2000 and again in
October 2001, and then Employee of the year in 2001. Quite a feat.
Lisa is always the profess.ional and probably one of the most respected and dedicated
employees in the County family. I can say with confidence that the County is very
fortunate to have someone of her caliber!
