Nature of the Change: The contractor has requested an additional time extenslon of
120 days to complete the contract. Based on our review of his justification we have
determined the following:
(A) That inclement weather was a factor in not completing the Bridge on time.
(B) That although the Bridge was not completed on time. those items requiring
completion were of a minor nature: painting. paving. placement of flower urns.
(C) That although not entirely complete. the Bridge was open for beneficial use of
the local residents and construction equipment within the alloted contract time.
(D) That as mitigation for the claimed oversight. he has verbally agreed to
not pursue a claim for additional monies on Duck Key Bridge #1 in the amount of
$3.258.90.
Based on the above. we recommend that an extension of 120 days be granted. No
additional monies are required by the change request.
The changes result in the following adjustment of Contract Price and Time:
