At the March 15, 2006, Board of County Commissioner's meeting the Board granted
approval and authorized execution of Supplemental Joint Participation Agreement No.3 between
Monroe County and the Florida Department of Transportation for additional funds for Security
Requirements at the Key West International Airport.
Enclosed are three duplicate originals of the above-mentioned, executed on behalf of
Monroe County, for your handling. Please be sure to return the fully executed "Monroe

WHEREAS, the Department and the Agency heretofore on the 6th
entered into a Joint Participation Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Agency desires to accomplish certain project items as outlined in the Attachment "A" appended
hereto; and

DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLEMENT (Include justification for cost change):
This supplemental agreement provides operational and maintenance assistance to KWI for the purpose of complying with
enhanced federal security requirements or to address related economic impacts after 09/11/2001. Agency's expenditure
plan as approved by BCC for FY2004-2007 is estimated at $3,836,723.
