Item F3
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY
Meeting Date: December 20,2001
Division: Growth Management
Bulk Item: No X
Department: Planning and Environmental Resources
AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval of a resolution deferring the first annual non-residential rate
of growth (NROGO) allocation of non-residential floor area from January 1, 2002 to February I, 2002.
ITEM BACKGROUND: The BOCC approved NROGO is currently being reviewed by DCA.
Because of the time it has taken to adopt and have this ordinance approved by the state planning
agency, applicants have been unable to prepare proposals for non-residential floor area that they can be
sure will be acceptable. In the interest of fairness, the Planning Director is recommending this
extension of time for the first allocation.
PREVIOUS REVELANT BOCC ACTION:
The Board of County Commissioners in September 2001 adopted the Non-residential Rate of Growth
Ordinance. On August 16, 2001, Resolution 317-2001 provided for the first annual allocation of 22,500
square feet to be made available in two allocations the first allocation of 11,150 square feet on January
1,2002.
