Years of Service Award to Maureen Neal Maureen Neal started to work for Monroe County in 1985 as an Administrative Secretary. Later that same year she was reclassified to the title Commissioner's Aide. She has seen many changes in County Government in the fifteen years she has worked for Monroe County and has worked for the following commissioners: Ed Swift, E. R. Lytton, Sr., A. Earl Cheal, Keith Douglass, and Nora Williams. Since 1985 two of these commissioners have been elected Mayor and Maureen has assumed the additional duties that being the Mayor's Aide involved. To quote from some of the information in Ms. Neal's personnel file: "The County has an excellent employee in Ms. Neal" (Ed Swift). "Performance and Reliability of Highest Standards. Tack and Discretion Exemplary. Dedication and resourcefulness unquestionable. Professionalism impeccable. Highest demands and expectations in sensitive position are met without exception. (E. R. Lytton, Sr.) . "It is obvious that her high degree of job knowledge and experience coupled with her personal nature contributes to her abilities to get .. the entire job done. She is very pleasant to constituents and has a nice smile. In addition she has compassion for those who are in need of help." (Earl Cheal) "Maureen Neal is a very committed employee who knows and understands the role of a commissioner's aid very well. She is consciencious and is able to handle multiple responsibilities" (Keith Douglas) Maureen currently works for Commissioner Williams. It is an asset to the citizens of Monroe County to have such dedicated employees. Congratulations to Maureen Neal for fifteen years of service to the County.
