At July 19, 2006, Board of County Commissioner's meeting the Board granted approval
and authorized execution of the following:
Renewal Agreement for Lease of Medical Examiner Facilities between Monroe County
and Florida Keys Funeral Services LLC to provide interim facilities for the Medical Examiner for
an additional one year period.
Lease Agreement between Monroe County and Beyer Funeral Home to lease premises for
use as interim Medical Examiner facilities.
/Addendum to Lease between Monroe County and the City of Marathon concerning lease
of additional parcel of land at the Florida Keys Marathon Airport from which to operate
temporary fire station facility.

ADDENDUM TO LEASE AGREEMENT
MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
AND THE CITY OF MARATHON
THIS ADDENDUM is made and entered into this 19th day of July, 2006, by and
between Monroe County, hereafter the "County", and the City of Marathon, hereafter the "City".
WHEREAS, on the 19th day of January, 2005, the parties entered into a lease agreement
(the original lease) to lease premises at the Marathon Airport for the purpose of constructing a new
fire facility to provide emergency fire and rescue services to the Airport and surrounding
community.
WHEREAS, the City desires that the County lease the City an additional parcel of land at
the Marathon Airport to temporarily house the personnel and emergency vehicles until the fire
facility is completed, and the County is willing to lease such a parcel; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the original lease, now, therefore,
IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual promises and covenants set forth below, the parties
agree as follows:
I) Monroe County proposes to lease to the City an additional area of approximately
25'xI75' (4,375 square feet) as depicted on Exhibit A-3, to place an administrative
trailer, day trailer, RV for emergency crews sleeping quarters and storage shed for
medical supplies, all of which are to be provided by the City. Exhibit A-3 is attached
to the agreement and made a part of it.
2) The City shall have all trailers, the RV and the storage shed placed on airport
property tied-down to meet Monroe County Code requirements.
3) The City may remove a portion of the front perimeter fence and replace it with a 6-
foot security perimeter fence, with 3 strands of barbed wire, at west side of an
existing hangar extending approximately 40' west and continuing 51' south to
connect to existing security perimeter fence. The City may relocate and install the
airport's motorized gate (Gate 6) including all associated and/or related devices,
mechanisms and hardware including the security card reader from the existing
facility to the new location.
4) The City may insta1l6-foot security perimeter fencing, with 3 strands of
barbed wire, approximately 24' east side of an existing hangar to the existing
security perimeter fence, with one 3-foot pedestrian gate.
5) The City is responsible for obtaining all approvals, permits and utilities associated
with the aforementioned and to bear the associated and or related costs of same.
6) This Addendum shall terminate two years from date it is approved by the Board of
County Commissioners or 30 days after the Certificate of Occupancy for the
new fire station is issued, whichever comes first. This Addendum may be extended
on a month-to-month basis by written consent of the parties.
7) Upon expiration of this Addendum, the City shall have all trailers, RV and storage
shed removed from the site within 30 days and to bear the associated and or related
cost of same.
8) The insurance requirements of Section 6 of the original lease shall remain in full
force and effect and be applicable to the additional premises.
All other provisions of the January 19, 2005 original lease, not inconsistent herewith, shall
remain in full force and effect and be applicable to the additional premises.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, each party has caused this Addendum to Lease Agreement to be
executed by its duly authorized representative.
