A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE
APPOINTMENT OF AN ADDITIONAL MEMBER TO THE
SUBSTANCE ABUSE POLICY ADVISORY BOARD
RESOLUTION NO. 165 - 1999

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 288-1998 provided for the reassignment of members to the
Monroe County Substance Abuse Policy Advisory Board, and
WHEREAS, at the February 12, 1999, Substance Abuse Policy Advisory Board meeting,
members unanimously approved the appointment of Raiette A vael to the Substance
Abuse Policy Advisory Board, and
WHEREAS, Raiette A vael currently serves as the Director of the Florida Department of
Children and Families Alcohol, Drug Abuse, and Mental Health Programs, and
WHEREAS, this appointment would contribute to the overall coordination of efforts by
the Monroe County Board of Commissioners and the Substance Abuse Policy Advisory
Board to address substance abuse issues in Monroe County, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Substance Abuse Policy Advisory Board, as established
by Resolution #288-1998, is hereby expanded to include the appointment of Raiette
A vael.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, at a regular meeting of the Board held on the 14th day of April, A.D. 1999.
