AN,': ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COl-n.lIS-
S~NERS OF MONROE COUNTY, AMENDING SEC.
2~199(C), MONROE COUNTY CODE, BY THE ADDITION
OF A PROVISION REQUIRING THAT AN ANNUAL
REPORT BE SUBMITTED TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS BY THE TOURIST DEVELOPMENT
COUNCIL WITHIN 120 DAYS FROM THE CLOSE OF THE
FISCAL YEAR; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES
INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR INCORPO-
RATION INTO THE MONROE COUNTY CODE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners wishes to require
the Tourist Development Council to prepare an annual report which
shall be submitted to the Board of County Commissioners and
released to the general public and media within 120 days of the
close of the fiscal year.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISS lONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1.
Sec. 2-299(C), Monroe County Code, is hereby
amended by the addition of the following:
An annual report shall be prepared by the Tourist
Development Council and submitted to the Board of
County Commissioners and general public and media
within 120 days from the close of the fiscal year.
The report shall include the following:
1. Report of all revenue by category separation.
2. Report of all expenditures by category
separation.
3. Reservations and carry-overs by category
required by law.
7. Ratio of administrative expenses to overall
expenditures.
Section 2.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause
or provision of this Ordinance is held invalid, the remainder of
this Ordinance shall not be affected by such invalidity.
Section 3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of
said conflict.
Section 4.
The provisions of this Ordinance shall be
included and incorporated in the Code of Ordinances of the County
of Monroe, Florida, as an addition or amendment thereto, and
shall be appropriately renumbered to conform to the uniform
numbering system of the Code.
Section 5.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon receipt of official notice from the Office of the Secretary
of State of the State of Florida that this Ordinance has been
filed with said Office.
